Skyhooks - Jukebox In Siberia

This track from 1990 was a huge hit for one of Australia's top-selling bands. It's a mix of disco and boogie beat with semi-comical lyrics highly reminiscent of The Beatles' Back In USSR. For Rock n Roll dance, the beat and pace are are irresistible. Once this track gets going it's highly doubtful that anyone will want to sit down.

Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs - Sick And Tired

Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs were an iconic Australian band of the 1960's. Although they're more remembered for more doleful songs such as strong covers of classics like Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Twilight Time, they were equally good rockers. This song was an Australian hit that no jiver in the land down under should leave off their play list. If you're not an Aussie but you love to dance Rock n Roll, you should try this anyway. It has a classic rock beat with a zippy pace. People who are sitting down because the music was a bit tame will quickly be on their feet again.

Tony Barber - Someday

Tony Barber was a member of The Aztecs who split to follow a solo career. Though his success was short-lived, he posted a couple of good hits in the land of Oz. This track is not a fast Rock n Roll blast but it's definitely a great dance song with a rhythm that you can shake your tail-feathers to and strong, enlivening lyrics.

The Easybeats - Women (make you feel alright!)

If you like to dance Rock n roll to music with powerful medium-fast beat that you just can't resist, this hit record by top-rated Aussie band The Easybeats will make you feel alright. They are best know for the iconic hit Friday On My Mind, but that's not really a jive record. This song rocks with the best of them. Grab a copy and definitely include it early in the play list when you're hoping to get the dance floor packed.
