No Matter What Shape (your stomach is in) is a song with a slower rock beat. It's good for triple-step dancing, which doesn't work so well with a fast pace.

It's also good for practising regular rock n roll styles to a bit slower music. That has the benefit of helping dancers to gain better control over their movement. Although some people find this a bit tedious, it's a very worthwhile exercise.

It was recorded by the T-Bones in 1966. It gained widespread popularity after being used as the music for an Alka Seltzer commercial. The original belief is that the music was composed for the commercial and after proving highly popular, it was released as a single. anyone in the know might like to verify that.
