Walk, Don't Run - a great Rock n Roll dance track
If you can't dance to this tune, you should maybe consider a different hobby. Walk, Don't Run ought to be renamed Dance, Don't Sit!
The beat to this instrumental is strong, with heavy drums. The pace is ideal medium-fast. The melody zooms in an inspiring way. There's little to say beyond that.
At the beginning of a set when the command is "lets rock!!", open with this track and they'll just about run, not walk onto the dance floor. You can use any style of Rock n Roll Dance for this tune, though if you want to triple-step to it you might need to be well practised and very fit.
Fortunately, like a lot of really great Rock n Roll dance tracks, it's fairly short.
You can't help thinking that this sort of recording came from the days when rock stars were real musicians, not so much circus acts. But in reality, that's what my parents' generation largely thought about The Beatles in 1963. Each to their own.
